About

Hypsole and its signature cleat guards sit at the intersection of sports, fashion, and technology, with a utility-patented cleat guard concept, futuristic digital manufacturing processes, and products that reflect both aesthetic and off-field performance considerations.

Born out of inconvenience, our cleat guards are designed to get athletes on-field, or onto the next thing, without the need to stop just to change shoes. Beyond function, we’ve focused carefully on how our guards look on different footwear models. The result is a final product that slides on easily and blends seamlessly with many different styles of cleats.

Our cleat guards are made using Digital Light Synthesis™ - a groundbreaking 3D printing technology that uses ultraviolet light projection to cure liquid resin into high-quality finished products.

Story

Hypsole was founded by former Division I track and field athlete, Jes Christian. Following internships at Condé Nast (Glamour Magazine) in fashion, and adidas in footwear, Christian enrolled in a sports management master’s program with the intention to explore a career in college or pro sports. Towards the end of the program, she used an elective credit to take a startup development class. She had a business idea - one that started only as a thought during her time competing, but which had remained loosely present in the back of her mind. When the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship came about, the cleat guard concept resurfaced organically, and the foundation for Hypsole was established.

The first-ever 3D printed cleat guard features a curved, wave-shaped silhouette, made of high-strength, tear-resistant EPU, so cleats stay locked in place in different climates and conditions within a flush, flexible lattice shell.
